I entered this song in “Quickpress” a few days ago and thought it would show up here. I don’t know where it went, but will try again. This is an original song. Kevin Honeycutt ( KevinH ) on Plurk , has given me permission to post it. It is sung from a student’s perspective. They are frustrated that their teachers do not support their learning using technology. If the upload doesn’t work, I’ll share it at a meeting. It’s on my phone. I Need My Teachers To Learn
I have had a Twitter account since this summer. I’m not completely sure about it. At times I feel it is hard to follow and I don’t have all my friends on there following me. I wish there way for one to use Twitter. I find that Facebook is so much easier to use and I enjoy it much more. I think I’ll get used to Twitter as I use it more, it may take some time. Any suggestions on how to use it and have it work for me would be greatly appreciated.
A good friend of mine told me on Saturday night that a guy she works with at Fairport who has a Twitter account (along with herself) had his 30th birthday party last week. He tweets a lot (he’s a network administrator) and some of his Twitter friends flew out from *wherever they lived* to Rochester for his big birthday bash…mind you, these are people he’s never seen or met before. EVER. Isn’t it amazing at the connections you can make all through a simple social networking site like Twitter?
What’s next? Oh the possibilities…
So I just set up my twitter account. I’m finding it kind of boring because I don’t have anyone I really know on here and can’t really figure out the benefits of having this account. With facebook and texting, I’m finding this just one more thing to update. Do people really care that much what I’m actually doing?????
Is there an easier way to get from the WC! site back to this page to post new items? I have been using the back arrow but there must me a better/quicker way. Can someone help me?
I was just introduced to this link on a plurk message and have enjoyed exploring it. I thought I would attempt to share it here. http://www.docstoc.com/documents/education/teachers/ Hope some of you also find it helpful.
I am excited to learn about how to use blogs in the classroom since I have never created a classroom blog before. However, I did create a blog when I went to Oregon in the Summer of 2008. It was a great way for me to share my journey and pictures with friends and family to keep them updated immediately.
I would really like to use my full size laptop. I am having way too much trouble munipulating this mini. No mouse, too small, a different configuration from what I am used to etc.. Dawn, you can have it!
Creating a blog for my history students has been an interest for a few years. Unfortunately, students didn’t have the ability to access blog sites when I first began co-teaching with the US History class. Then, the blogging didn’t seem relevant…NOW, though…I’ll try!
I am looking forward to reading the postings. This seems to be a great way to communicate with other teachers in the district and to find out ways teachers are using blogging in the classroom.
Anything!!!!
Blogging is going to take me some time to get used to, but I think my students will be eager to see their names and posts.
Now that I know how to log on to this blog I am looking forward to sharing information with my classmates. I am looking forward to learning more about using blogs in my classroom.
I am really interested in learning about blogging, but have some concerns about doing it in the classroom at this point.
I have never blogged in my own classroom, but seen it work in other rooms. I look forward to starting my own classroom blog(s) in order to assist my students with their learning!
I can see this will be useful in a classroom setting. Blogging could take the place of classroom newsletters. I believe this will be helpful in my fifth grade classroom.
There are hundreds, thousands, of Blogs out there….it’s so overwhelming!!!!!
Is new technology integration (SMART Board, etc.) beneficial in the educational setting or just a nuisance in which too much time, money and planning is spent on?
We are at the High School in the middle of our 2nd WC! meeting. Everyone has anedublogs account and is ready to blog!
