I'm not sure how to answer your question about the parent putting music to the pictures/confidentiality issue...

If the kids liked the YouTube video, you can also try Voicethread! :)

Hi WC! I love the idea of using virtual field trips to enhance learning. What a great way to visualize what is being discussed and learned! I hope you share your "highlights" of your classes journey! I look forward to seeing the videos!

I really enjoyed looking at this link and find it will be very helpful in my classses. Over the last few months I have been working hard to find new ways to engage my students by using technology in the classroom. Thanks so much for sharing this link!

We have been blogging at wchmaloney.edublogs.org for two weeks now. It has been going pretty well besides some problems with getting on at school. The students have great insights and would love if other teachers post. Our 2nd blog titled Rules Blog #2 is about if Rules are good or bad so it applies to everyone.
Steph I'll think about ways to use Technology in math and get back to you. Using the SMARTboard is a great start.

I agree with all 3 of you- I prefer plurk because I feel more comfortable with the layout and it feels mre user friendly. Plus I like welcoming strangers are and helpful when getting started. I haven't used it to build my PLN net because I am still getting comfortable with it but I see the possibilities and amd finally understanding the degree to which it can benefit students. Im lookibng forward to learning more...i just wish i had more time!

I want to love Plurk and Twitter, but am struggling. I feel overwhelmed trying to keep up and seem to have neiher the time or patience to sit and go through everything without becoming frustrated. I'm sure with time it will get better :)

The virtual field trip sounds great. Is that something I can find online? I'd love to show my students that. I've never heard of a flip camcorder either so it'll be fun to see your results. Keep me posted as to when you're finished, I'd love to look at it!
